Sacramental Preparation
We are baptized into a community of faith. We are initiated into a relationship
with God that engages our participation as members of a parish and
the world-wide Catholic Church. Our Baptismal Call is lived out
through prayer and worship together and in service to others. Click
here to go to our Mass Times page for the schedule
of weekend Masses as well as seasonal, liturgical celebrations.
If you are interested in any of the Sacraments please fill out
the form and
return to the rectory.
INFANT BAPTISM
Baptism is our first Sacrament. It begins our initiation into a faith-life that will continue for the rest of our lives. More than a simple ritual cleansing, Baptism connects us to a community, blesses us with grace and provides a foundation for continued worship and growth.

RCIA AND CHILDREN’S CATECHUMENATE
For those considering joining the Catholic community (never baptized, or baptized in another faith tradition), the process of the Catechumenate provides a time for exploring and discovering, a gradual incorporation into the life of the Catholic Church and the prayers and support of our community. We have a group for older teens and adults that meets regularly. In the case of children of catechetical age (usually 7 and above), a similar process involves the children and their families.
* For those adults Baptized Catholic, but having little or no
catechetical formation, please contact Fr. Joe.

Couples wishing to be married here at Our Lady of the Lake are
asked to contact Fr. Joe as soon as possible, even before arranging

for the sacrament of marriage with the one who will be marrying
them and one of a number of marriage preparation programs.

Special Circumstances
ANNULMENTS
For those seeking information about annulments, we encourage
you to contact Fr. Joe to help you through this process. Individual
circumstances are key to the process that is most particular for
your situation. Frequently, people have many misconceptions about
this process. Calling and getting the correct information is the
best route here!
MARRIAGE VALIDATION
For those not married in the Catholic Church, we encourage you
to contact Fr. Joe to discuss the possibility of validating your
marriage in the Church.
SPONSOR CERTIFICATES
Sponsoring a candidate for Confirmation or serving as a godparent
for a child to be Baptized are special privileges. Because of
the seriousness of this commitment, the Church requires that sponsors
and godparents meet certain criteria. They must be at least 16
years old (as of the celebration of the sacrament), fully initiated
into the Catholic Church (Baptized, Confirmed and made First Eucharist),
actively practicing Catholics (attend Mass, participate in parish
activities, etc.) and if married, are in a marriage recognized
by the church. If you plan to be a sponsor or godparent and need
a certificate from Our Lady of the Lake, please call the rectory.
