Adult Education
Adults are the foundation of our parish and their models of faith-living touch so many. Our Lady of the Lake has programs that run through the whole year, some that meet for short series and some special events that happen seasonally (like the Parish Mission). Below are some explanations of Adult Faith Formation that happen fairly regularly at Our Lady of the Lake. But please watch parish publications and for information about regular and special events.
COFFEE AND CONVERSATION
This group presents educational programs through speakers, film
and dialogue. Following each presentation, discussion and faith
sharing is encouraged. Each series is usually six-weeks long and
one is offered in the fall and then another in the spring. Some
recent topics include exploring other religions, morality and
exploring faith through popular movies. All adults are welcome.
Meetings begin at 9:45a at the rectory, but watch parish publications
for specific dates and topics.

for our Fall 09 Series. Note that we have
expanded the Fall 09 Series. Each topic is now available at two
(2) sessions - one on Tuesdays at 9:45a in the Our Lady of the Lake Rectory
and the other on Wednesdays at 7:00p in St. Christine Church.
SCRIPTURE STUDY
We invite interested adults to meet at the rectory to study, reflect and discuss different people and stories of the Bible. Previous examples include exploring Women of the Old and New Testament, The Book of Revelation and all four Gospels. The group usually meets for a fall and a spring series and is open to all adults. Cost is minimal and covers the cost of study materials (usually less than $15.00 per series). Topics and dates are announced in parish publications so watch for them. Then call the rectory if you are interested in joining us.
GENESIS
The Genesis group is a group of older adults engaging in social functions, service projects, outreach and formation opportunities (including a Book Club). New members are welcome. Watch parish publications for meeting dates – usually the first Sunday of the month.

LIFT
As most adults know, faith growth doesn’t stop after childhood
or graduation. Rather, we continue growing – often with
new perspectives and a great deal of wisdom – through adulthood.
LIFT provides adults an opportunity to interact and share their
unique experiences and life-stories with each other and young
people as we learn about aspects of our faith and how to live
it out everyday.
