Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church

Welcome to Our Lady of the Lake Parish!

We are a parish created by merging Holy Cross and St. Christine parishes.
We are located at the NE corner of East 200th Street and Lake Shore Blvd.

Our Lady of the Lake Vision Statement
(Adopted by Pastoral Council 12-15-2010)

Our Lady of the Lake Parish is a Catholic Christian Community whose inner life and outreach both testify to the Reign of God, which is already but not yet fully present in our midst. Prizing diversity as an enriching gift, we invite and welcome everyone into the transforming power of God’s Spirit. That Spirit is met in the love we share, the service we offer in the wider community, and the worship of our God in Christ which is the source and summit of all that we do.

No one is a passive bystander. We cultivate people’s gifts and prepare them for their respective ministries by providing ongoing opportunities for support, conversation and faith reflection. In God’s time everyone is engaged, putting his or her own gifts at the service of others and calling forth gifts from each other.

World Day for Consecrated Life

Sunday Feb. 5th, we celebrate World Day for Consecrated Life.

We recognize and give thanks for those who have consecrated their lives to God and the Church through the vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience.

The consecrated life is one way that women and men live out their baptismal commitment as followers of Jesus.

On this day, we pray for Fr. Joe Fortuna, Sr. Laura Bregar, and Sr. Etienne Balek.

Contact Congressional Representatives to protest Federal Healthcare Mandate

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced last week that almost all employers, including Catholic employers, will be forced to offer their employees' health coverage that includes abortion-inducing drugs, sterilization, and contraception.

Bishop Richard Lennon calls this a severe assault and denial of the most fundamental First Amendment freedom, religious liberty.

Please see how you can help - Support Respect for Rights of Conscience Act.
